BACKGROUND OF THE HOTEL
Saad Hotel has stood the taste of time since 1978 dedicated to providing an excellent and profound hotel service, The Hotel is located in the heart of Kasese town in Western Uganda, along the Great western rift valley, beneath the Great Mountains of the moon now known as Rwenzori mountains, the first hotel to be opened in kasese town which was the only trading centre within the Rwenzori region, the hotel was opened due to the increased number of tourists in this region in which Queen Elizabeth National Park and Rwenzori national Park. This part of Uganda has got so many geographical features which include; Lakes Edward, George, Katwe, Rivers Nyamwamba, Rubooni which flow from the glaciers of mt Rwenzori. Queen Elizabeth national park is also a home to millions of wild species which include Lions, buffalos, leopards,, crocodiles,hippos,hyenas,wild pigs and many more.
Saad hotel has ever since hosted so many tourists both local and international, which has put us through so many challenges that makes us an outstanding hotel that has perfected and improved our services.
Today Saad Hotel has uplifted both its face and standards with the state of art technology to meet our customers’ needs and also changed its name to New Saad Hotel.

Within a close range to the New Saad Hotel is the famous mt Rwenzori , Queen Elizabeth National Park, base camp hot springs, Salt lake in Katwe and also experience the very best cultural and traditional practices of the Bakonjjo and Batooro people.

1. Mountain climbing services
A trip to the Rwenzoris is an exhilarating and rewarding experience but one which must be well planned, Climbers in the park stay in a series of simple band’s along the main route (trail). Porters, guides and cooks are provided to help you on your hike up the mountain peaks.
the key to an enjoyable visit is to “be prepared!!” the central circuit hike takes six nights/seven days and reaches an altitude of 14,000 ft (4,267 meters) above sea level. The conditions on the mountain are a challenge to even an experienced hiker. This mountain is renown or its un engineered, steep and slippery trails and frequent rainfall and cold temperatures. Never the less it is an exciting adventurous trip worth taking. The periods of July to August and December- February are relatively dry therefore the best times to take a trip to the mountains
2. Safari tours to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
We work hand in hand with tour agents and also have our own tours and Travel Agency that is called “Saad Wild Safaris” of which has its own vehicles that are well built to our customer’s best comfort and safety.
We will take you to see the existing wild game within the National Park and also visit different geographical features that are so beautiful filled with beauty beyond your wildest dreams, sceneries that will remain in your mind for a life time.
3. Geographical features
There are many water bodies in this part of Uganda of which their source is the Rwenzori capped snow which melts to form glacial rivers that flow through rivers Nyamwamba, Rubooni and many others, these rivers fill up the lakes in the rift valley.
Lake George, Edward of which are connected together by the Kazinga channel is also a great place to have boat rides which gives you a closer look at different wild game both cooling of in the waters and refreshing themselves with a drink of the fresh water.
4. Cultures and Traditions
The Rwenzori Mountain also lies within the Kingdoms of “BUKONJJO” and “TORO”, these two Kingdoms have preserved its traditions and cultural practices.
The people within these two regions are very hospitable and interactive with a well-organized traditional monarchy government that has lasted for centuries, even when the early missionaries were very amused with their organized way of governance. There are even forts that were built by Sir Gerald Portal
ACCOMODATION
We have a total number of twenty-two rooms, ten apartments, a banking facilities, two conference halls and a shopping outlets at the hotel

2. Eight rooms twin beds (2 queen size bed, hot showers, wardrobe,fan,t.v 8 channels)

RESTAURANT
We have a sitting place of 60 people in our restaurant the walls and painting of our restaurant portrays the savannah vegetation and mountain sceneries that surrounds the environment.
We have a health license that certifies with the cleanliness and hygienic standards we operate in and we make it our first priority to see that we deliver the best to our expectations to satisfy our customers’ needs.
We also offer outside catering services under arranged requests.

We also have 16 fully furnished apartments that are mostly occupied by business class people who require staying for a long time

BUSINESS CENTRE
We have two operating banking halls on the hotel i.e. Stanbic bank and Pride Micro finance which offers forex facilities and all banking needs you might need the bank also has a 24 hour ATM machine on the premises as well.
We also have about twenty shopping outlets that sell and offer services like; salon and barber, boutique, computer maintenance, secretarial bureau and Phone shop.
All these facilities are found to be helpful to our guests and are also permitted within the Hotel premises to our clients convenience.
CONFERENCE FACILITY
We have a big hall that is designed for big functions like weddings and large workshops, it accommodates about six hundred people it is well-organized with a stage having its own entrance and changing room, two entrances and three emergency doors
We also have a conference room that is designed for small meetings and conferences and it accommodates about 100-150 people depending on the design of sitting.

We have a well-trained, educated and dedicated staff with a very skillful, comforting, pleasing and whole heartedly concerning approach which is the very best secret to our service with a very delightful customer care all perfected to please and comfort our highly esteemed guests.
